This event is hosted by the Child-Computer Interaction Group at UCLan and sponsored by both the Royal Academy of Engineering and BCS Interaction SIG. The event will be held at the UCLan Preston City Campus and places need to be booked in advance using Eventbrite.
The event is free for PhD students. Lunch and refreshments are provided. Students are expected to bring a poster summarising their PhD topic or create one at the event. In the afternoon Scott MacKenzie from York University (Toronto) will be delivering his Empirical Research Methods course which runs annually at CHI and NordiCHI (further information can be found at https://youtu.be/XqCvpcr3L6E and http://www.yorku.ca/mack/chi2016b.pdf). Limited funds are available to cover travel costs within the UK.
