Ian Crook
I am a senior lecturer in Multimedia in the Department of Technology and also the Managing Director of Showme Multimedia Ltd.
My company produces multimedia projects, both CD ROM based and web based, for a broad range of clients. We do, however, specialise in producing multimedia e-learning for children with a special emphasis on health information. We have produced the award winning websites, "Welltown", "Galaxy H", "Lifebytes" and "Mind, Body & Soul", for the Heath Development Agency (www.wiredforhealth.gov.uk). Our most recent CD ROM, "Body Factory" was recently shortlist for the NHS patient information award.
My Research Interests
Although I am not yet involved in any formal research, my main interest is in useability and producing e-learning that has elements of game play within it. My Masters dissertation was on the subject of "Creating Effective E-Learning Material".
